Bitcoin BoardThe biggest Bitcoin exchange Mtgox has temporarily stopped Bitcoin withdrawals because they are fixing their automatic withdrawal process. To fix this their system has to be in a static state, according to their official press release published this morning.
Mtgox is located in Tokyo and is the biggest Bitcoin exchange, till today. Many people have realized that Mtgox is not what they used to be, after months of USD wire transfer delays, an almost impossible to complete verification process and now a total halt of withrawals of Bitcoins.
Mtgox has promised to give an update on this issue on Monday 10 February, to explain what they are going to do to solve it, and how long it will possibly take. We however think that they are nearing their end and we do not advice anyone to use them as your main BTC exchange. A better option would be to use Coinbase, Bitstamp or BTC-e.
