Bitcoin listed on Bloomberg Terminal

This morning, Bloomberg has confirmed that Bitcoin is now displayed on the professional trading monitor: the Bloomberg Terminal. By simply typing VCCY on the terminal, users will be able to monitor the Bitcoin price from Coinbase and Kraken. They will also get the latest news from more then 100.000 different sources.

Bloomberg has been testing to list the virtual currency on their terminals since August last year. The Bloomberg Terminal has more then 320.000 daily users, mostly from financial places like Wall Street. Unfortunately, investors & speculators are not able to buy Bitcoin directly through the Bloomberg Terminal, like they can with stocks, but that might change in the future.

Bloomberg aims to be Transparant, Following the demand of the client and innovative. Displaying Bitcoin on its terminal is the first step of Wall Street getting into the virtual currency market.
