Bitcoin BoardOnline Broker Etoro has started the trading in Bitcoin via CFD’s on their online trading platform. This has been confirmed in an official press release. You can now invest in BTC, with any amount you like. Prices are locked in at 6:00, 12:00, 18:00 or 00:00 (GMT). Trading days for Bitcoin at eToro are Mondays to Fridays. This is a bit strange, as Crypto currency markets or exchanges are never actually closed like the real stockmarkets.
Trading on Etoro is done with Contracts for Difference. You should know that if you invest in Bitcoin with CFD’s, you never actually own any Bitcoins. You are just speculating with the price of it. It works like this for example: You get up in the morning and the price of BTC is $1000. You decide you want to invest $100 into it ($10 minimum). 2 Days later, the price is $1100. If you decide to sell your CFD’s, you will have a $10 profit, but you have never actually owned Bitcoin or held it in a wallet. You should also be advised that trading on Etoro does not affect the exchange rate.
